The app gives Chrome Angelz members a way to track solo rides, start and track group rides, complete ride challenges, visit landmarks, submit proof, earn approved mileage and challenge points, check event attendance opportunities, complete event check-ins, participate in Convention activities, collect digital challenge coins, track tier progress, compete on the leaderboard, and help create positive Chrome Angelz social media content.
The app is not just about miles. It is about riding, exploring, participating, representing Chrome Angelz, supporting events, and creating memories.
Sprints are limited-time photo competitions separate from annual challenges. When an edition is open to you, enter it to lock your profile timezone for that edition. You must capture each Sprint photo through the app while on an active ride, within your own locked local Sprint window.
Retakes are allowed. Only your newest eligible submission for each Sprint Challenge is considered for moderation and voting; prior attempts do not compete. A photo captured before your cutoff may be uploaded during the 12-hour recovery window, but recovery is never permission to take a new photo after cutoff.
Approved Sprint Challenges award 15 completion points subject to the rider-local daily challenge cap of 300 points. Individual Challenge winners receive an additional 25 points. Overall Sprint Champion and People's Choice winners each receive 100 bonus points. Winner bonuses are outside the daily cap and do not count toward Iron Angel qualification.
Individual Challenge winners are selected by anonymous voting. The category winners advance to People's Choice voting. Both regular voting rounds are configured for 24 hours, subject to the voting system's published stage times and certification process. Overall Sprint Champion is decided by the most category wins, then eligible Sprint points, then verified Sprint mileage. Exact ties can result in co-champions.
Do not publicly identify, claim, hint at, or campaign for your anonymous entry before the applicable voting closes. Final results become official only after administrator certification and finalization.
Participation is limited to Chrome Angelz members only. Challenges, points, coins, ride tracking, Convention check-ins, event attendance, event participation credits, tier recognition, and leaderboards are for Chrome Angelz members.
The riding year runs from June 1 through May 31 every year. Points earned during that riding year help determine leaderboard placement, rider tiers, top riders, and award opportunities. Chrome Angelz can recognize riders and leaders from the completed riding year at Convention.
The Rider Challenge App is a web app that can be installed on your smartphone and used like a regular app. When you first open it, your phone or browser may offer an option to add it to your home screen. On some phones, use your browser's Add to Home Screen option.
The first time you use the app, register and create your login credentials. After that, use those credentials to log back in. Your account connects your rides, mileage, challenge completions, points, event attendance, coins, tier progress, Convention participation, and leaderboard activity to your rider profile.
Before completing challenges, you must be in an active ride. An active ride connects your mileage, challenge activity, and proof submissions to your ride.
Rides should normally be ended within 24 hours. The app begins overdue reminders at 20 hours and allows a final grace period until 48 hours, when normal completion is locked for administrative review.
Group rides allow Angelz to ride together and earn mileage points with a multiplier, but the multiplier depends on verified rider participation inside the app. Riders must check into the group ride using the app/QR check-in process. Riders who do not check in through the app do not count toward the verified rider count.
| Verified Group Ride Size | Mileage Point Value |
|---|---|
| 1 verified rider | 1.00 point per mile |
| 2-4 verified riders | 1.25 points per mile |
| 5-9 verified riders | 1.50 points per mile |
| 10 or more verified riders | 1.75 points per mile |
A group ride is not just people riding together. The app must be able to verify the group through check-ins.
Challenges may include landmarks, photo stops, Convention challenges, regional challenges, seasonal challenges, chapter-friendly ride opportunities, pop-culture or historic locations, scenic stops, restaurants, diners, bridges, lighthouses, and roadside attractions.
Before starting a challenge, read the description carefully. Check where it is, why it matters, what to look for, what proof is required, how many points it may be worth, whether it is time-limited, and any safety notes.
Common proof types may include photo proof, location confirmation, QR code scan, event check-in, checkpoint completion, and tap confirmation.
Location sharing is mandatory for geo-located challenges. Allow location access in the default browser you use for this app. If location is blocked, the app cannot verify your location and the challenge cannot be completed.
The app can help guide you toward a challenge location and let you know when you arrive. For checkpoint-based or geo-supported challenges, the app may use GPS, checkpoint zones, arrival notices, and rider action prompts.
Depending on the challenge, the app may support navigation toward the challenge or checkpoint, arrival guidance, geo checkpoint progress, tap-confirm checkpoints, photo checkpoints, QR checkpoints, and final proof submission.
Valid approved rides earn mileage points. Mileage points are based on the approved mileage for the ride and whether the ride was solo or a verified group ride.
| Ride Type | Point Value |
|---|---|
| Solo ride | 1 point per mile |
| Group ride with 2-4 verified riders | 1.25 points per mile |
| Group ride with 5-9 verified riders | 1.5 points per mile |
| Group ride with 10 or more verified riders | 1.75 points per mile |
Mileage points are tied to ride records, odometer information, ride review, and approval.
Some rides may be automatically accepted if they pass review rules. Other rides may be flagged for moderator or admin review.
A ride may be reviewed for missing odometer information, missing odometer photos, odometer mismatch, unusual mileage, average speed over the review threshold, overlapping ride times, possible mileage issues, or group ride verification issues.
The app ride policy flags average ride speed over 85 mph for review. Ride submissions cannot be edited after submission, and rejected rides cannot be resubmitted.
The app may be used for event attendance. Some events may have an attendance check-in, QR code, or other participation step inside the app.
Event attendance may include Convention attendance, chapter events, special Chrome Angelz events, charity events, community service events, time-limited event activities, and event-based ride activities.
Some events may award points, participation credits, coins, or other recognition if assigned. Not every event automatically awards points.
Approved challenge submissions can earn challenge points. Moderator approval is required to award challenge points when moderation is required. Approved challenge points are posted to the rider ledger.
Approved challenge points are capped at 100 points per challenge approval. Total approved challenge points are capped at 300 challenge points per rider-local day. Mileage points and event points are separate from the daily challenge-points cap.
As riders earn points, complete rides, attend events, and complete challenges during the riding year, they can move up through the Angelz rider tiers. To reach a higher tier, a rider must meet all requirements for that tier.
| Tier | Points | Rides | Events | Challenges |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze Angel | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Silver Angel | 1,200 | 10 | 1 | 2 |
| Gold Angel | 3,000 | 25 | 2 | 5 |
| Platinum Angel | 6,000 | 40 | 3 | 10 |
| Diamond Angel | 12,000 | 50 | 5 | 15 |
Example: Silver Angel requires at least 1,200 points, 10 rides, 1 event, and 2 challenges. Points alone are not enough.
Iron Angel is a special higher-level endurance achievement above Diamond Angel status. It is not a normal points tier.
To earn Iron Angel, a rider must already be a Diamond Angel and complete 3 separate qualifying Iron Angel days. Each qualifying day must include at least 500 total approved points and at least 250 approved miles on that rider-local calendar day. Mileage points plus approved challenge points tied to that ride-start day count toward the 500 total points, with challenge points capped at 300 per rider-local day.
| Iron Angel Daily Requirement | Required Minimum |
|---|---|
| Total approved points in one rider-local day | 500 points |
| Approved miles in that same rider-local day | 250 miles |
When you attend Convention and complete the required Convention check-in, you receive 250 points. Convention check-in is awarded once for points.
Every Convention can have its own unique digital Convention challenge coin assigned to attendees. Once earned, that Convention coin is permanent and stays with your rider profile forever.
Convention-specific challenges are designed around that Convention location so Angelz can enhance the Convention experience, explore the local area, see interesting nearby places, create memories, earn riding-year points, and support positive social media content from the event.
The current 2026 Cortland Convention setup contains 25 active Convention-specific challenges.
The leaderboard shows rider progress and point standings. Season and weekly leaderboard views default to Top 5 plus your position. Riders may select See More Standings to view the Top 10. Season standings continue to update nightly at midnight.
Digital challenge coins are collectibles inside the app. Some coins may be earned by attending Convention, completing special achievements, achieving Iron Angel, participating in special events, or receiving admin-awarded recognition. Some coins are permanent and remain on your profile forever.
Safety comes first. Always follow traffic laws. Never take photos while riding. Pull over safely before using your phone. Do not stop in unsafe areas, trespass, block roads, park illegally, or ride beyond your skill level to complete a challenge.
When completing challenges, attending events, or riding with a group, remember that you represent Chrome Angelz. Be respectful, courteous, patient, and supportive. The goal is fun, riding, recognition, participation, and sisterhood.
Check your internet connection, refresh the app, make sure you are logged in, make sure your ride is active, and confirm location/photo permissions are allowed if needed. If using guided checkpoint navigation, make sure notifications are allowed.
If the app says your session expired, will not submit, seems stuck after your phone was locked, opens the camera/scan flow oddly, or keeps showing old ride/challenge information, use Fix Login / Refresh App. This clears Rider App data saved on your device and sends you back to login. It does not delete your account, approved rides, submitted photos, points, event check-ins, or completed challenges already saved on the server.
If the issue appears technical, report what happened with the challenge or event name, whether you were in an active ride, whether it was solo or group, what screen you were on, what error you saw, whether you used iPhone or Android, whether you had cell service, and a screenshot if possible. Send app errors to submit@chromeangelzrc.com. The Facebook page is not monitored for Rider App errors.
Open the app, register the first time, install it on your smartphone if prompted or supported, and use your login credentials from then on. Start an active solo ride or group ride before completing challenges. Enter your odometer information, ride safely, let the app guide you to the challenge, submit required proof while the ride is active, finish the ride properly, earn approved points, collect coins, build tier progress, and watch the leaderboard.
